Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection consists of one volume of expenditure records from James H. Bright for buildings at Washington University from 1900 to 1903, including Busch Building, University Hall, Cupples No. 1, Cupples No. 2, Liggett Building, Work Shop, and Boile House.  These records track the various costs of constructing these buildings.

Collection Historical Note

James H. Bright had a company that apparently oversaw construction of some of the early buildings of Washington University at least from 1900 to 1903.
