The Duff’s Restaurant Literary Events Collection consists of flyers, schedules, clippings, photographs, and correspondence tracing the history of the Duff’s Poetry Reading Series from 1974-2013

Collection Historical Note

For over 37 years, Duff’s Restaurant on 392 N. N. Euclid Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri hosted the Duff’s Poetry Reading Series. The first poetry reading was held on May 20, 1974 featuring poets Dan Spell and Mikhala Masekela and musician Alan Suits.
