Jacob Klein (September 1, 1845-1910) was an American lawyer and judge. Born in Germany, Klein’s family settled in St. Louis, Missouri in 1851. Klein was educated in the public school of St. Louis, and later began the study of law in the office of Seymour Voullaire and later the firm of Knox & Smith. In 1869, he was admitted to the bar. After a year of practice, he went through a course at the Harvard Law School for the purpose of completing his legal education, where he graduated in the class of 1871. In 1881, Klein partnered with William E. Fisse in the firm Klein & Fisse. Klein was elected judge of the Circuit Court of St. Louis in January 1899 and remained there until January 1901.
