R. Walston Chubb (1894-1977) was a St. Louis attorney with the firm Lewis, Rice, Tucker, Allen & Chubb (now Lewis, Rice & Fingersh). He helped initiate the Legal Aid Society (now known as Legal Services of Eastern Missouri) and continued to help the program until his death in 1977. Chubb was a pioneer in preserving open space within the St. Louis Metro area and started the St. Louis Area Open Space Council. Also, he was a former vice president of the American Ethical Union.
